<content:encoded><![CDATA[The NBOME periodically reviews and resets pass/fail standards for COMLEX to ensure that the standards of osteopathic medical licensure examinations reflect current medical education and medical practice. &nbsp;<br><br>The pass/fail standards for computer-delivered COMLEX Level 1, Level2-CE, and Level 3 were established in 2005; pass/fail standards for Level 2-PE were set in 2007.<br><br>The NBOME has started the review process for existing standards for all COMLEX examinations.&nbsp;&nbsp; For Level 1, standards will be reviewed in early 2010, taking effect May 2011.&nbsp; For Level 2-CE, standards were reviewed in March 2009, taking effect June 2009.&nbsp; For Level 2-PE, standards&nbsp; will be reviewed in early 2010, taking effect July 2010.&nbsp; For Level 3, standards will be reviewed in September 2009, taking effect February 2010.<br>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[The NBOME periodically reviews and resets pass/fail standards for COMLEX to ensure that the standards of osteopathic medical licensure examinations reflect current medical education and medical practice.&nbsp; The pass/fail standards for computer-delivered COMLEX Level 1, Level 2-CE, and Level 3 were established in 2005.&nbsp; The NBOME has started the review process for existing COMLEX standards.&nbsp; In March 2009, the Level 2-CE Standard Setting Committee reviewed the existing Level 2-CE standard and suggested a new standard.&nbsp; The Level 3 Standard Setting Committee will meet in September 2009 and the Level&nbsp;1 Standard Setting Committee will meet in early 2010.&nbsp; The new Level 2-CE standard will be effective starting with June 2009 examinations.&nbsp; The new Level 3 standard will be effective in Febryary 2010.&nbsp; The new Level 1 standard will be effective in May 2011.]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[The United States Government has advised the public that several cases of Swine Influenza have occurred within the United States and in some foreign countries.<br><br>All candidates experiencing flu-like symptoms are encouraged to contact the National Center for Clinical Skills Testing at (610)825-6551 or the NBOME offices at (877)714-0622 to discuss options for rescheduling of their clinical skill or CBT examinations, respectively.<br><br>Help us to assure your safety during this current bout of influenza by letting us know if you are ill before arriving at the test centers.&nbsp; Remember, that if you have had the flu, you may be contagious for a period of up to seven days after your fever or symptoms have resolved.&nbsp; All candidates are reminded to observe universal precautions while at a test center such as hand washing, covering your nose and mouth, if coughing or sneezing, and placing any used tissues in appropriate containers.<br><br>Thank you.<br>]]></content:encoded>
